Grand landscapes have their time and place and are extremely special to me, but as I’ve evolved as a photographer I have found myself placing more focus on the subtle beauty of small scenes. By working slowly and looking down more often I’ve found that even the most unassuming scenes can hold an amazing amount of beauty. From small ice patterns along a river to the cracked earth of desert playas, there is always inspiration and magnificence to be found as long as you are willing to look closely.
